TL;DR I get up for work at 5:45 and work about 12 hour days because I'm a teacher who also coaches. Most times I go out with my girlfriend I get tired around 10 and she has begun to resent me for it.
So last night I had officially been dating my girlfriend for six months. In her texts she had mentioned we do something small to celebrate, I had already booked a reservation at 7:45 at the restaurant we went to on our first date. She arrived 20 min late blaming an uber, and we had a nice dinner overall. At around 9:45 she starts mentioning where we are headed next and I'm across the table yawning. I said I wasn't sure if i could make it to another place, especially after a few drinks at this place. She seemed really pissed off and when we left she was silent until I walked her to the train and we parted ways. When i got home i let her know in a text, and also said i dont want her to resent me for not being able to stay up late. She said she was really disappointed in how the night went and cited other instances of me not being able to stay up late. She wakes up at 8am so our schedules are very different. I'm also not sure if she understands how much work goes into a first year of teaching. Either way, she doesn't seem to care and im not sure what to do at this point. The school year is almost over and if we can make it to that point I think the summer will be fine but I worry about the next year.
