[25M] Maybe a silly question, but: Can I learn about relationships through reading?

I'm 25, male, only one 'real' romantic relationship ever, and I felt like an impostor the whole time.

I have parents and a brother with whom I am not very close. Don't know any of my extended family. Decent relationship with my parents, though we only have surface level discussions every month or so when I see them. Never gotten along with my brother.

It makes me uncomfortable and envious when I see other people who clearly have great relationships with family and SO. I feel like, not knowing any of my extended family, I might've missed out on some crucial relationship exposure as a child. I literally feel like I don't know what to do in a relationship - family, or romantic.

Most shows and books seem to offer what I would call "a lot of drama" and be pretty good examples of what not to do, or how to fail at relationships and have a lot of headaches.

But, are there any books or shows, movies, etc. That actually give good examples of how to have successful interpersonal relationships that are deeper than friendly interactions?

I feel silly about the question. I guess I just want to develop these skills so I can have better relationships and have some guiding principles to refer to, but I feel like I've missed out on some valuable lessons which might provide a good foundation.

tl;dr: Feel like I don't have a foundation from which to develop successful interpersonal relationships. Can these skills be learned or informed from books or other media?
