Best Gifts for Dad for Any Occasion

Best Gifts for Dad for Any Occasion

Our fathers are one of the most important and influential people in our lives.

Even if you didn’t have one growing up for one reason or another, the lack of their presence will have a significant impact on your emotional and mental maturity.

To those of us who are lucky enough to be blessed with a good man for a father, We don’t need to wait for their birthday or fathers day to show our appreciation. Our gifts for dad, regardless of how small it is, validate their own existence. Once you become a parent yourself, you will realize how much parents sacrificed their time and effort to provide for their children (including you).

Gifts for dad and mom tells them how much all their efforts are worth all the pain. So if you have the time and money, go ahead and give the best gifts for dad and mom, they deserve it.

Cool gifts for dad

For some reason, it’s harder to think of gifts for men than women, fathers included.

The reason for this is most men go with what works until it doesn’t, and will stubbornly hold on to it until it breaks. They can survive with one pair of shoes, a wallet, a bag, sunglasses, hat, etc for years until the item is so worn down that it’s practically begging to be replaced.

It’s most likely the reason why it’s hard to give gifts to men than women, a girl with 20 pairs of shoes will always appreciate a new pair. A man who has a favorite pair of shoes, will not likely to use the new one until the old one breaks, and who knows when that would happen. If your reading this article, it’s quite likely that your dad belongs to this majority.

A rolex

If this is something you can afford, then go for it. Some Rolex models appreciate over time and it’s a good investment other than the practicality of telling time. Every successful dad deserves a Rolex and it’s a gift that lasts a lifetime.

Luxury / designer pen

If you love the idea of a Rolex but can’t afford it, then look into pens. Cross, Montblanc, Faber-Castell, and Parker are good luxury brands for quality pens. It is one of the great gifts for dad without going as far as spending a fortune.

A cruise

A cruise

If your dad already has those things and the cost is not a concern for you, then a vacation somewhere to help them enjoy life is a good option. (most of which they gave up for you and your siblings) Two tickets for a luxury cruise for your parents is always appreciated. Make sure you give something that has an open schedule unless your parents are retired and have all the time in the world.

An electronic gadget

A lot of old dads still hold on to manually writing their schedule and are too afraid of using modern electronics. The truth is, they are not afraid of using it, they just don’t want to look incompetent in front of people when they can’t figure out how to turn it on.

Record tutorial videos of YOU, not youtube links, but you can use those as a reference. Teach your dad how to do things on their smartphone. Save it on the phone itself and make sure to name the file properly. This will get them over their fear of the unknown, or rather their fear of looking like a complete idiot, and get them out of the stone age. It is one of the best and unique gifts for dad that a child can ever give.

Modern fashion

If all those previous suggestions are too expensive for you, then one of the good gifts to give your dad is a slow upgrade of their wardrobe. We are all guilty of wearing something that was fashionable during our day and dads are especially guilty of it.

Upgrading your father’s wardrobe to suit a more modern look is always a great idea. Make sure they don’t look like mid-life crisis teenagers like Vanilla Ice.

Amazon Alexa

One of the most unique gifts for dad is Amazon Alexa. Chances are your father spent a lifetime working for someone else and it would be great for them to experience having a virtual assistant such as Alexa.

Since you are most likely busy living your own life to take care of your own parents, paying for your substitute is not a bad gift.

Spa/Gym/Golf membership

One of the things all dads have in common is age. If you are old enough to read this, then your father would at least be in their 40’s.  Giving them a push to take care of their health is always a great gift for dad.

Depending on your father’s interests and their overall well being, you can give them a spa, gym, golf, or sports club membership. Make sure to check out if the place caters to seniors and have more than one activity your dad (or both parents) can do and enjoy.

Healthy options membership

There are healthy food delivery services out there and some of them have cheap annual subscriptions. They can control blood sugar, cholesterol levels, and uric acid which is important for senior people. Even if your Dad or both your parents don’t have any known ailments, prevention is always better than cure.

Giving your dad something that shows that you care about their health and life, in general, is not only thoughtful but will have real-world benefits over time.

It’s always more expensive to give great gifts to men, especially men who we care about like our father. Regardless of how expensive it may seem, if we think about how much our dad has gone through to provide food on the table, a roof over our heads, and all the comforts we have taken for granted then the cost should be the last thing in our heads. Throughout their lives they probably thought about the same thing every time our Birthday, Christmas, or Matriculation comes around.

If we really want to give the best gift to our dad, it is to be the person who can afford to give back gifts to them and their grandchildren.
