Wedding Month Checklist to Tick off Before the Grand Celebration

Wedding Month Checklist to Tick off Before the Grand Celebration

Wedding Month Checklist

The last four weeks leading up to your wedding can be a mix of emotions. Happy, excited, nostalgic, but mostly, stressed and nerve-racked.

It’s the last chance you have to wrap up those final touches on all of your carefully planned details.

But, since you already have everything booked, ordered, and altered…what exactly is left to do? Believe it or not, there is still plenty of t’s to be crossed and I’m to be dotted during the few short weeks before your wedding.

Let me share with you a list of last-minute tasks that you aren’t already thinking of. Plan for these things NOW and save yourself from any last minute “uh-oh’s”!

4 weeks out

Think of week four as a time to confirm everything with your vendors and the details that will affect them.

For example – Are you missing any RSVPs?

This will likely affect your venue and rental setup, as well as catering order if you have to switch your guaranteed guest count. If there is anything that is missing or needs to be changed with vendors, four weeks should leave plenty of time to take care of it.

  • Call all vendors to confirm final details and payment procedure
  • Follow up with the guest who has not RSVP’d
  • Practice putting on your dress and veil, check for minor fixes
  • Schedule any self-care appointments – nails, wax, spray tan, facial, etc.

Now that your vendors have what they need from you, it’s time to finalize the details that you will be responsible for.

These are things that don’t necessarily need to get nailed down months ahead of time, but you shouldn’t save for the last minute.

  • Make sure you have all needed decor pieces
  • Buy/order bridesmaids gifts
  • Create a personal wedding day timeline

2 weeks out

By week 2, all of your outsourced wedding needs should be completely good to go.

If your wedding date creeped up and surprised you tomorrow, you should be able to at least walk down the aisle in a well-fitted dress.

This is the time to organize and prepare personal items so that your actual wedding week will be a breeze and pure bliss.

  • Prepare and organize wedding decor for setup
  • Create a basic room diagram and decor plan
  • Send caterer final guaranteed guest count (darn those last minute RSVPs!)

Finally, the wedding week!

You’re just days out from your wedding! This time is all about YOU!

All the planning is finally done and you’re simply getting yourself ready for the big day. This week should be stress-free and full of celebration.

Sit back, relax, and enjoy everything you’ve conquered! Now, just to wrap things up…

  • Attend any self-care appointments
  • Pack honeymoon bag
  • Deliver guest gift bags to the hotel
  • Write vows / personal letters

That’s it! You’re done! The whole wedding planning experience can seem like an unending checklist of to-do.

Use this guide to start your list and be sure you aren’t missing ANYTHING during the last few weeks before your big day.
