I don't know what to think anymore, my bf of almost a year wants to break up with me right before prom (in 3 days!) because he went through my phone and found porn on my browsing history
I didn't think to erase my browser history and we live in a very white area so it doesn't surprise me to know some people who have prejudice and are somewhat racist but I didn't know my boyfriend would be like that. It wasn't intended for him to see and when he found all the interracial and bbc stuff we got into a huge argument, and he said some really bigotted and almost racist stuff which ended up with him saying he wants to break up. We are supposed to go to prom in 3 days and he's never acted like this before, I did not know he was this kind of person. I told him to go home and calm down and it's the next morning and he's texted me saying he doesn't want to break up but wants me to stop having anything to do with black porn and treading really close to racism.
I know for a fact he acted like this not because I was watching porn, but because I was watching porn with black men and white women because of the things he said which I won't repeat here which I think are pretty directed towards black people. Now I feel like the person I've dated for the past year is someone I didn't know would be so prejudiced and ignorant. My prom is in 3 days and we planned everything and I don't know what to do. I may just break up with him but then I would be the only one without a prom date and I don't want drama or people at school thinking somethings. I don't intend to stop watching interracial porn or let him control me like this especially when its racist in nature, but I don't know how to continue this relationship knowing that he is so sensitive or bigotted towards this situation. Any advice?
tl;dr - Bf found interracial porn on my browsing history and had an argument where I found out he was very prejudiced and slightly racist. We have prom in 3 days and I don't know what to do going forward.
